Hey friends,
I am so excited to say that I have raised $7,070 in the past month with the help of you awesome people. That means I am over HALF FUNDED!!! Crazy to think I was doubting that I could raise any money for this trip just a few weeks ago.
God has showed up. He NEVER fails to be present.
I head off to training camp in Georgia in 22 days! I get to meet all my squad mates and I could not be more excited. We have been skyping and talking to each other over group chat, but meeting in person is gonna be awesome.
My technical deadline for meeting $9,000 dollars was July 2nd, but I have talked to my squad leader and in order to go to training camp I need $2,000 more. This sounds like a lot of money, but I am trusting in the Lord that he will provide. Everyone has been so supportive and I am so thankful for all of you.
On Sunday morning as I listened to our paster speak, he asked 3 questions. One spoke to me, “Can I have that now?” When God tells us no, he is preparing for a greater yes later. He is asking us to be humble and trust him. I am trusting that when someone decides not to support me, God will provide more people to support me later.
By the end of August, I have to be fully funded, $12,491.
Everything is falling into place and becoming so real. In just about 2 months, I will be on my way to El Salvador. I said yes to God and he is showing me how great He is.
Thank you so much to everyone for walking with me through this all. Please continue to pray for my squad and I as we come across new challenges daily and head off to camp.
