CYPRUS
It’s to these mountains where I run
When the world gets crazy and I feel that I’m just done
Done with it all and feeling that I may fall
Fall down down down where I cannot be found
I run toward these mountains as a safe haven
A refuge and fortress and space of saving
Saving from the rush, the expectations, the pressures
And a place where I don’t have to measure
Measure up to the person you have in your mind
And the same one I have in mine
Thats not me, really, you see
I’m me. I’m who I was created to be
I run to these mountains because it’s where I find my God
My Father, my friend, and my first love
He’s my Creator, my Savior, my source of life
He made me, and saved me, and calls me His wife
He’s the bridegroom and I’m the bride
And he’s my home, the place where I abide
I run to these mountains to be set free
To sit in peace and just breathe
He beckons to me to come and be still
To give Him my cares and follow His Will
He’s the shepherd and we are His flock
He’s our fortress, the Solid Rock
I run to these mountains to know that I can
I can and I will, if it’s in His plan
I’m strong, you see, a conqueror
I’m fierce and bold and an overcomer
But it’s only because of Him
Who bled and died to save me from my sin
His love for me is so wide and deep
And I know this that in these mountains we will always meet
He’s with me wherever I go,
I know,
But these mountains are so sacred, so much so
That whenever I’m there it’s an instant peace
The doubts, fears, and lies cease
I am my Beloved’s and He is mine
He chose me, remade me, and brings new wine
New wine to remind me of His steadfast love
And his promise that one day we will be together up above
These mountains are special to me but that’s not just it
It’s you too that He knit
So delicately and intricately He wove
So I’m asking you where is your cove?
Where is your safe place, your small sheltered bay?
The place where you can meet with Him, even when there are no words to say
He’s gently waiting for you, dear friend
To leave behind the lie and come unto Him
It’s peace, love, and joy in an overflowing fountain
And It’s why I run to these mountains
