In the past two days I read an entire book. This may not seem like a big deal, but to a college student who only (usually) reads her assigned readings, this is a major feat!

I picked up The Circle Maker when I was at home this weekend thinking I would have some spare time with my minimal finals this week to read. Little did I know that I would devour the book so quickly. It refreshed my perspective on how I’m praying and what I’m doing with the Race.

As many of you know, I have a major deadline coming up. I’m talking $2000 in about a week to be able to launch in January. When I realized this over the weekend, my heart started to beat just a little bit faster, but then I realized that God provided $2000 plus in just over two days; what’s a week in His timing?

Here’s my declaration: until my next deadline (December 16th) I’ll be doing the Daniel fast. This includes eating fruits and vegetables and water, yes I am actually kissing coffee good bye for a week!! And I’ll be praying and praising like I never have before. God has given me this path to take and I know He will provide the stir in people’s hearts to give. So why not praise Him for the it already?

Yes, praying and fasting is wonderful! But, praising God for what He is going to do, now that is going to be amazing! I know that God is going to do some major healing while I’m on the Race, not only for me but for my teammates too; I’ve been praying for that, but now, I’m going to start praising.

As I go through this next week, I can’t wait to thank God for all the amazingness that has yet to come. Truly my brain can’t even comprehend what all He has in store for me over this next year, it’s going to blow my mind. I simply want to thank Him for it all. That’s my first action.

I’ll be praising and praying before and after this next deadline if you all need me 🙂
