This month looks a little different than 'normal' ministry on the World Race. My team and I have been blessed with doing what is coined by AIM, "Unsung Hero's."
Unsung Heroes (UH) is organizations that are doing amazing things in a country and to make them known by AIM and others.
Since month 1, my team and I have had a vision with tangible goals, and we wanted to implement those goals into our lives. Those goals are, "Love God, Love People, Make Disciples." At the beginning of every month we evaluate how achieving this vision is going to actually happen. It usually entails doing bible study both individually and together, delving into each other and those that we meet, and wanting to leave every country with a new friend.
For this month, we were able to revise this vision slightly to help mold the UH month. "Love God, Love People, Make Contacts". Through "Loving God", we are making intentional time every day to grow deeper in the Word, with God and each other. This can also look like doing prayer walks, worship and even Asking The Lord (ATL) prayer. With "Loving People," we are working on praying for one another on our team, supporting each other and honoring our contacts that we make, as well as praying for the beautiful country of Honduras. For "Making Contacts," we want to ensure that we are gathering as much information as possible about a potential contact and honoring any arrangements we make with them.
Personally, the ways I want to challenge myself for this month are being bolder. I want to grow in bold prayers, speaking up and out about things that are happening. I want to learn to love everyone I am around at all times and just show them the love of Christ. I also want to grow in worship of all forms.
The items I am bringing to my team this month are spiritual and worship growth. I want to help us grow together in the Word and grow deeper with God. I also want to make intentional time for everyone on my team and speak life into one another.
I am truly excited to see this growth that is happening in my team and I over this next month.
It is all God on how we are working and where He is leading us.
Honduras, I cannot wait to see all that God is going to do here.
