What’s up guys. I want to first start off by saying I have never written a blog so as you read please keep that in mind lol. So most of you know me but for the ones that do not my name is Greg Hall. I live in a small town in South Carolina called Elgin. I am a recent graduate from Emmanuel College. Even though I graduated with a degree in business administration, during my time at Emmanuel I grappled with the idea of what I wanted to do with my life; not until recently did I finally find out what I want to do long term.

This past May I went on my first out-of country mission trip to Nicaragua. Most people will use the phrase “It was life changing” when describing a mission trip but when I think of this time in my life I don’t know how else to explain it; it truly was life changing. During this ten day span God stretched and used me in the most comfortable, uncomfortable ways. My team and I we’re able to feed the poor, love the orphans and help the widows. We saw lives changed because of what God was doing at the work of our hands. The culture shock hit me the day I arrived back in the states even though I knew what I was coming back to. I did not want to be here. The thought of how the Nicaraguans were living or the kids who didn’t have food or shelter really hit me as I was in my comfortable bed with the option of whatever food I wanted at my finger tips. That is when I realized God had given me a hunger to help those in need. For the next ten weeks I worked with an organization called YouthWorks that held hundreds of mission trips throughout the country. I worked with a community in West Virginia, spreading the love of Jesus while cleaning yards, painting fences, feeding the hungry, and clothing the homeless among other things. During this time I realized that I want to continue helping people. So after a lot prayer and consideration I decided to do the World Race.

I applied and have been accepted for the August 2016 team of the World Race. The World Race is an 11 month mission trip, where young adults will have the opportunity to travel to 11 different countries and spend a month in each country sharing the love of Jesus to the natives. There is a wide range of ministry opportunities in each country, anything from orphan ministry, widow ministry, building ministry to sex trafficking ministry and so on.

With that being said, I want to do a play-by-play of my journey. I will be writing blogs about my successes and struggles of raising the money for this trip, how God is stretching my faith in him and how he is using and preparing me. But to be honest, this life changing experience will not be possible without the support of you. I have almost $17,000 dollars to raise before my trip can happen so I am asking you to stand in support with me.

BUT contrary to what you might think, I am not asking you to give first; I am asking you to pray. I am a strong believer in prayer. I am asking you to pray for me and my team so God will prepare us for what we will encounter while we are in the mission field. I am also asking that you pray and consider if God is asking you to be a part of this ministry and how much you should give. You can help financially by giving either a onetime donation or a monthly support donation. You can give by clicking the “support me!” button to the left of this page.

And lastly I am asking you to subscribe and share this blog. If you are interested in seeing where God is taking me I will try to write a blog per week so hit the big subscribe button on the left.

Until next time..
