Before reading about what ministry has looked like here in Thailand, we still need to wrap up the amazing month that was The Philippines. Check out our recap video for Month 2 below!

Now we can officially move on to month 3, THAILAND! This month we have the honor to serve the Thai people by teaching English right outside of Bangkok! Our hosts have told us that teaching English in Southeast Asia is incredibly respected and highly beneficial for those that we serve. English opens doors for locals that are otherwise closed to them and gives them the opportunity to work in vocations that are otherwise impossible for them to succeed in. While we are teaching English, we are also building relationships with the wonderful staff at A-Mane English Center, as well as the students here and their parents of Buddhist background. Children who spend time going through the English program at A-Mane learn about Christian principles and the message of the Gospel shared by the teachers here. We have been learning a lot about what it looks like to work in a “business as mission” mindset. A good quote that sums this idea up pretty well is:

“Whatever you are good at, a) do it well for the Glory of God; b) do it somewhere strategic for the mission of God.” – J.D. Greer

This is exactly what we’re aiming to live out here in Thailand alongside the long-term teachers at A-Mane. We’re so grateful that God has us here, serving with this ministry in this beautiful country. We pray that we will be glorifying Him in all that we do here!

Love,
Greg & Alyssa
