It’s more than the natural beauty, the stunning sunrises silhouetting on the crest. It’s even something more than the possibility of something destructive. It’s accepting that risk, embracing it and making it your own. It’s reckoning that there are forces of nature that far outweigh the ingenuity and capacities of man.
And you know what stands behind such wonders…
GOD
He is the creator of all the amazing wonders of the world and he is why I choose to live my life at the base of the volcano..
The people of Antigua don’t have to summit it’s peak to know its glory.. But the presence of something more is undeniable.. Why would countless people around the world choose to live where doom lays?
Whether its a flood plain, a mountain village, or a volcano we are always looking for a point of reference. A reference point that refers to the something that places us in the context of the world..
We were not meant to cower in the presence of our creator. We are designed to marvel at the home we are entrusted to inhabit. Living next to a volcano requires faith, faith in something. Where does your faith come from?
Why subject yourself to forces that are subservient to the God of all nations? When you look at your circumstances what defines them? Is it God Almighty? Or is it meager forces of the world? Surrender your feeble attempts to manage your own life and set up camp aside the volcano. God will bless your life with grace and unforgettable sunrises all while courting you with the majesty of his Will. Take the risk, pray to God…Tell him your hearts desires…Ask him the will for your life and listen for a change…
God Bless you all and go visit Antigua sometime 🙂
