Thanks to all my amazing supporters both financial and prayer I am over half way funded. With launch only a few weeks away it feels good to hit this mark.
My personal goal (and I emphasize the "personal" part) was to be fully funded before launch. Support raising was not the aspect of the race I looked forward to, but nonetheless I had high hopes God would help me accomplish this goal.
God's plans are higher than ours and a big part of the race is me learning to trust God with my finances to the point of being vulnerable. For those of you that know me I have a history as a track and field athlete. I take pride in being a runner and verses like this remind me of how being a runner developed character that can help me pursue Christ's understanding.
Hebrews 12
1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Support raising is a race God has challenged me to run with endurance and at his pace. Humility and patience will surely follow. For now I will press on towards being fully funded.
