Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! After having spent the last 2 months traveling around central america, i certainly have found more and more things to be thankful this year.
THINGS I AM THANKFUL FOR:
(This list is just a stream of conscious writing, so bear with me, I do not know what will come out)
I am thankful for being fully funded for the World RAce; i am saved by grace and not by works, but that i love the works because its out of the love of the savior that i do them; i am thankful for god working through the bad to make things that much more special, ie karen had surgery but because of that her dad came about a month ago and brought stuff to make pumpkin pie anticipating thanksgiving, so today we had pumpkin pie; for clean clothes; for having machines to do work for us ie tilling up a whole futebol field by hand takes a toll on the body and if we would have had a tractor we could have done the job better and in about an hours time; i am thankful for the graciousness of the women on my team and how we are becoming more and more of a team; i am thankful for the sisterhood they share and the body and community we are forming; i am thankful for little things like hot showers, for twizzlers, for ketchup that doesn’t taste funny, for being able to throw used toilet paper in the toilet instead of a nearby trashbag; i am thankful for working vehicles and having money in my account to be able to fill it up all the way everytime i would fill up; i am thankful flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas; i am thankful for little children who love to play; i am thankful for the body being so diverse, praise God that we are totally different from one another; i am thankful for honest communication and for people being real with me and i with them; i am thankful for all my friends and family who have invested interest not only just in me but in my expedition here and there around the world. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me not just financially but spiritually and physically and emotionally as well, this trip, this calling on my life would not be possible without your faithfulness to your calling, we need each other to help issue in the kingdom of the great and glorious king of king and lord of lords who with one twinkle of an eye could make the cosmos disappear but yet in another bring about salvation for the multitudes of the earth, what a great and glorious God we serve!!! to him be the praises now and forever and ever amen. and amen.
