So, needless to say Nepal is absolutely gorgeous!  Beautiful mountains with waterfalls running off their sides, hundreds of rice fields descending down the side of hills with beautiful people laboring in them,  rivers slicing mountains in two, clouds so close you can touch them, and everything is so green this time of year!  I think I have fallen in love with Nepal.

The first few days in Nepal my team and I were with three other teams at a safe house for children who were once somehow involved with sex trafficking.  These beautiful children range from the ages of 4 all the way to 16.  I absolutely fell in love with these kids as they kicked my butt in football (soccer) and Pictionary, as they taught me how to say “Mosquito I kill you!” in Nepali, as they took me to waterfalls and beautiful mountain tops, as we made karate kid poses in the rice fields, and especially when I saw them truly worship Jesus Christ with the most beautiful child like faith.

Every morning these children would wake up at 5 to complete their chores which consisted of making their beds, sweeping out their rooms and then the patio, cleaning the bathrooms, picking up trash in the yard, and just making sure their living area was respectable.  If the age was 4 or 16, it mattered not, all had a duty and all did it with a smile without a single complaint for they did everything to glorify God.  I absolutely loved it because I would wake up to them cleaning and singing worship songs outside my room.  As I would open the door to go outside and help they would all yell “Brother Grayson!!!”, and run to me giving the biggest hug ever.  I then got to learn how to sweep and clean without using my hands because these kids just LOVED to hold my hand or just hug my waist as I walked around.  They even held my hands as I tried to scale a Himalaya mountain and made fun of me for not being able to do so; hahaha, they didn’t really understand that carrying two kids up a mountain without hands kind of throws one off balance.

But this safe house is such a light in a dark place!  These kids have been through more than I could ever imagine, and yet they find the most joy, love, hope, and faith in Jesus Christ for He has provided a place of refuge for them, He has provided a place of true love, a place with men and women of God, a place where they feel of worth, and more!  Honestly, these children understand the grace and love of Jesus Christ better than most people I know, including myself.

And that is what God is teaching me!  I have so much knowledge in my head from all the theology and philosophy classes I have taken in school.  I asked God what He wanted of me next and He informed He wanted my knowledge; He wants my head to drop down into my heart.  Instead of trying to fight the fight with my knowledge and metaphysical arguments, He is teaching me what it means to unlock the cage, let the lion out (Jesus Christ), and step to the side and just let Him fight for me.  He is teaching me what it means to have a simplistic trust in Him that is ever so ruthless on the enemy due to the amount of love that is unleashed when I have this child like faith.  And let me tell you, I have agreed to give Him my knowledge and MAN OH MAN has it been crazy and wonderful! So much JOY! I will inform all of you in my next blog where my team and I will be for the next month and what all we are doing as we bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Nepal, how He is using the situations here to thrust my head into my heart, and how He is helping me step out in ruthless bold trust.

Let me just say though, where my team and I are living is GORGEOUS!  We are on the side of a mountain that is on a cliff that is over a beautiful river with a bridge stretching across it that is really fun to jump up and down on because it sways like CRAZY!

P.S. Mom and Dad, they have bungee jumping here!!!!! MUHAHAHA!!!
