coming into and out of our lives’. This quote blew my mind:
“People
don’t just come into your life unless it’s His plan for them to. And people
don’t leave it without His interception either.” – Katie Rae Davis
I think it hits me so hard because of its
simplicity yet complex concept. We have all had someone come into our lives and
make everything right until the very moment they leave. I mean drop you like a
hot potato and leave. Of course, life is structured by the choices we make but
now let me blow your mind. God knows the choices you will make before you make
them. Have you ever heard of the Psychic Hotlines? Well God has a direct line
and its called prayer (no phone required). Yes, that someone chose to leave but
it was God’s will. The absence of that person opens new seats for infinite
possibilities to come. Let me explain the easiest way I know. We all date at
some point in time. When we stop and marry “the one,” that is it. However, what
if you did not marry that person? What if the next person is a better match for
you and they make you happier? What if the first person cannot have or does not
want children and the second brings three children? God “intercepts” these people
from our lives because He knows. He has written everyone’s book of life and
when the time comes, He turns to the next chapter. Sometimes we are not ready
for the next sentence, but we must move on.
My status as a single, career less, temporarily
living back in my hometown World Racer would not exist if I had done anything
differently in my past. I was engaged before; what if we had gotten married? I
graduated last August; what if I began a career and was rolling in the big
bucks (unlikely with my degree in this economy but possible)?
What if I had not
spent time with my friend that introduced me to The World Race? Where would I
be right now? I love that God pulled the pieces from my life that did not fit.
I am right where I need to be and the people in my life are exactly where they
need to be.
We cannot make other’s
choices for them, but we can learn to accept what happens in our lives happens
because God knows best. God recognizes our needs, hopes and desires and if we
lean on Him for understanding, He will bless us in ways we cannot comprehend. I
pray whoever reads this will learn to trust and learn to love obstacles because
something better waits for you.
understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths
straight.”
love Him…”
