The time has now come for me to begin spreading the word at churches and through fundraisers to help support my trip. I will continue posting events and dates on this blog to inform everyone wanting to help fund my ministry ways you will be able to. Come see what The World Race is in detail, why I am called to join, and see a few videos of fellow racers and how the world is changing because of their walk with God.
April 12th Fellowship Church of Riviera Maya
Singing a special, with my sister, at Fellowship Church of Riviera Maya (Playa Del Carmen, Mexico) and leading praise and worship at the Paamul location in the afternoon. Special thank you to Pastor Terry Hill for the invitation and donation to my trip. Also, thank you to the praise and worship team that helped. You taught me new things about leading worship I will use the rest of my life. Thank you.
April 19th River of Life Worship Center
Speaking and singing at River of Life Worship Center in Carthage, TX. First time speaking to friends and family about my trip in depth. I will be showing a few videos, singing two songs, and explaining the World Race to everyone in detail. Where I am going, Who with, most importantly why I am going, and more. Service went very well. We had some technical difficulties but they are clear for next time. I didn’t prepare much but all went well. Special thank you to Pastor Arnold Shrewsbury for the invitation. I want to thank the church for such a generous love offering. The money you provided me is paying for my hiking pack. I was in need of one and you answered God’s call to supply the money. May God Bless everyone who contributed whether by prayer, financially, or helping me prepare and maintain the service. Thank you Dad for all your help. Thank you Mrs. Kelly for your moving words before and after I gave my message. Thank you Mr. Po McDaniel for leading us in prayer at the end of church to pray for me. Thank you for the tech support, the lights, the dynamic introduction to my support journey, and for everyone thinking and will be thinking of me in this upcoming year. This is a new season of my life and you all helped prepare me for it and I know you will continue blessing me. From the bottom, the top, the sides, the middle of my heart, thank you.
May 7th Burgers on the Square
Come to the downtown Carthage square for a delicious B-B-Q Burger lunch. Each lunch is $5 and delivery is an option. I am taking orders now until we run out on Thursday. I want to write much more on this event and thank everyone who made this possible, but for now I want to give the final figure… $4,055 in hand at the end of the day (minimal costs outstanding)! May 17th Panola Baptist Church
Speaking at Panola Baptist Church in Carthage, TX (Deadwood community). Service was great this morning. Extremely accepting crowd and they all had a great vibe towards my trip. I want to thank Brother Billy Shofner for having me and look forward for the followup when I get back next year. I also want to thank the church for their generous donations. I was overwhelmed! God is blessing me left and right. All of you are now part of this journey.
June and July “Take-out” Satan
This is a fundraiser I am extremely excited about. It not only is a chance for you to support me financially, but a chance to draw closer to the Lord. It takes discipline and I encourage everyone to participate. I only have 500 boxes so get one before they run out. The idea is to take a Chinese take-out box home and fill it up with change for one month. The challenge though is to add a minimum $1 a day to your box. I will post more information on this soon, but if you would like to know more now please e-mail me. A few local churches have already offered to help out and you can get a box from them or a spot I designate soon to give the remaining boxes out. Stay tuned for the details. God Bless everyone who has, is, and will be supporting me soon. I began receiving boxes a few weeks ago and they’re still coming in. So far they have raised my ministry over $1200. August 2nd Northside Christian Center
Speaking at Northside Christian Center about my trip to come. This will
be my last time to speak at a church about The World Race.
August 7th Worship Benefit Concert
On Friday, August 7, at 7 PM I am having a free Praise and Worship Benefit Concert. The concert will be held at Northside Christian Center in Carthage. The opening band is Modern Miracle, next will be Michael Janetis, and I will do the final set. I will be speaking one more time about my mission trip and performing Praise and Worship songs in an acoustic setting. If you like candlelit stages, mellow music and Jesus, you need to be there. God will be pouring His love all over the building that night and I want everyone to experience it. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at any time.
