This week, journey marker questions (aka weekly Tuesday night questions) were about community and what we’ve grown in, what we’ve learned from one another, and what each person brings to our team. So here’s a shoutout to my team on how thankful I am for them and how they’ve helped me to grow in these past 6 months.
Lexi has impacted me by advocating for me and asking me the seemingly impossible questions that dare me to think outside of my normal realm of thought.
Abby has impacted me by challenging my perspectives in order to find new ones and help me grow.
Ella has impacted me by pushing me to truly be a student of Christ by learning from and imitating Him.
Melly has impacted me by showing me child like faith and Christ like love. She isn’t just nice, she’s truly kind and that kindness comes from the Lord.
Kori has impacted me by calling me out and calling me higher, she is an example of living by the law of the Spirit not the law of the world
Cami has impacted me by seeking to understand what’s going on with me; she makes me take off my happy mask and be vulnerable with her.
Sophie has impacted me by showing me the power of joy from the Lord even when she may feel like she’s walking in the dark.
How is God calling me to impact my community? He’s asking me to be a “big seeeeeester” on my team; leading while walking beside them, helping, comforting and affirming them, and calling them higher on the hard things that I know will make them grow.
I’m a more vulnerable person because of my community (team and squad included). They have made me willing to grow, and they have shown me the true compassion of Christ.
