Hey everyone! This blog is an excerpt from my journal where I ask God some big questions about what’s next after the race. Hope you enjoy!
-I’m halfway through the race… 4.5 months down, 4.5 months left. What’s next?
-College, I have a lot of peace about going to school again. I love to learn and the idea of actually studying what I’m passionate about is exciting.
-College might be the best and hardest mission field I go on, but I’m so ready for it. -Now where will I go? No clue…
-I want my goals and aspirations to align with God’s will for my life
~Proverbs 21:5
- “The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.”
-Lord, make me diligent, not hasty
-God wants to do life alongside me, not above me or beyond me, right beside me.
~James 1:5
- “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given.”
-While I wait, He is preparing me for what’s next.
-DON’T RUSH THE WAITING! It will happen in His perfect timing.
-“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits and in His word I put my hope”
~Proverbs 16:3
- “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans”
-Let all I do, point back to You (God)
-If my goals are motivated by being more like Jesus, my ways will align with His ways, and my path will never lead me away from Him
-The Lord doesn’t want or expect perfect progress on my way to the end goal. I will make mistakes and take wrong turns, but seeking Him will put me back on track.
~Proverbs 16:9
- “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
-God, I know that you’ve promised peace and blessings over the next season of my life, but please don’t let me forget to be present here and now.
Thanks for reading this little excerpt from my journal and indulging in my thought process for the future. I’d love prayers for peace in deciding which school to attend next fall. (Appalachian State University, Elon University, or University of Tennessee)
Many bendiciones,
Gracie J
