Hello everyone and welcome to my life in Peru! Because every day was SO different, I’ll be going through a “normal” week of my life in Trujillo! We lived at the Inca Link compound on the outskirts of the city, and did most of our ministry in and around the compound.

I’ll preface with some events that were always at the same time during the weekdays.

Devos: 7:30am / Breakfast: 8am / Morning Ministry: 9-11:30am / Lunch: 1pm / Afternoon Ministry: 4-6:30 / Dinner: 7pm / Team time: 8/8:30

Monday: morning ministry- Inca Thaki

afternoon ministry- Amijai mother’s group

Tuesday: morning ministry- cleaning Inca Link with Carmen

afternoon ministry- VBS for Amijai kids

Wednesday: morning ministry- different every week (playing with Inca Taki kids, sand boarding, painting Amijai house)

afternoon ministry- VBS and Amijai women’s craft night

Thursday: morning ministry- cleaning with Carmen/painting Amijai house

afternoon ministry- leave at 2 for Mana (Iglesia de Los Niños/church of the children)

Friday: OFF DAY! First week we went to the mall, second week we cooked all day for our thanksgiving, third week we went to the beach!

(We all got dolled up for thanksgiving)

Saturday: morning ministry- Elim floor hockey (favorite part of the week)

afternoon ministry- Elim garbage dump ministry (VBS and playing with kids)

evening ministry- small group or evening church

Sunday: church in the morning off day in the afternoon!

We walk almost everywhere we go, but take a 15 passenger van 40mins to Elim on Saturdays, and public transportation to and from church!

The Inca Link ministries are:

Inca Tahaki- extreme sports ministry that allows local kids to come before or after school to be ministered to while learning different sports

Amijai- local women and children’s ministry that gives women a safe community to work in and to grow in relationship with one another

Mana- after school youth group for young teens

Elim- bible studies for all ages, tutoring, and floor hockey for the community in and surrounding the Trujillo garbage dump

Thanks for reading everyone! My month in Peru flew by and now I’m on to Guatemala! Say tuned for a blog on my super crazy travel day and God’s provision!

Many Bendiciones,

Gracie
