Being surrounded by people who love Jesus has given me dozens of new-if not slightly cliche-quotes about Jesus, and I feel that it is my duty to share one of those dozens with you:

1. God doesn’t want to be a drawer that you put into your dresser, he wants to be the dresser that you put all of your drawers into.

2. Expecting God to show up because we do is like thinking a dog can only walk when you put it on a leash or that a lion can only roar when prompted- God’s work in people is not dependent on our proximity.

3. Hard things- the ‘why’ we do them is God, and the ‘how’ we do them is also God.

4. Be where your feet are, if you were supposed to be somewhere else you sure as heck would be.

5. When doubting your circumstances or questioning your blessings, ask yourself if you truly believe that there’s anything the Lord doesn’t love you enough to do for you.

6. Only talking to God when you need something or because it’s Sunday is like telling your spouse to stay away from you because it’s not date night.

7. Gossip destroys churches.

8.The Lord doesn’t motivate by guilt.

9. It is incredibly humbling to realize that we are simultaneously God’s most disobedient and favorite creations.

10. To live is Christ. Anything outside of that is a lie that we’ve been told that the world and the entertainment it provides is enough to satisfy us.

11. If you love someone you’ll talk to them and about them(Jesus).

12. “Not yet” and “Wait” are some of the most loving things the Lord can give you.
