This weekend concludes my time in Guatemala, and these past 3 months have brought so much growth, and have taught me so many things. The main thing I learned while I was here is that in all things I need to be patient. I struggled a lot before with being very impatient and when things didn’t go my way I was annoyed. The past 3 months I have really pressed into the Lord and prayed about becoming patient and leaving everything to Him. It has been a really good roller coaster ride, and I feel like I have learned so much. Another thing that impacted me in Guatemala was the relationships that we built; I have gotten to know so many amazing people and I am so sad to be leaving them. The Gomez family (our hosts) are some of the most kind and loving people I have ever met. Chris, their youngest son, is our age and he is our best friend here. He has been such a good friend and we don’t know what we would have done without him. So thank you Gomez family for being so kind and loving us so well while we were here. I’m extremely sad to be leaving Guatemala but I am beyond thankful for the things that I learned here and I can’t wait to apply them to everyday life for the rest of the race and the rest of my life.
