“Your name is a light, that the shadows can’t deny”. Those words have echoed over & over in my heart for the past month.
I think it’s no secret that this world we live in has many shadows. The shadows of sin and shame cast over women stuck in the cycle of prostitution. The shadow over families living well below the poverty line. The shadow of false religions, idols, and teachings that so many countries around the world immerse themselves in. But thankfully, “Your name is a light, that the shadows cant deny”. We serve a creator that sin, shame, and shadows CANNOT deny. We walk with the creator of light, love, and hope.
As the days until launch dwindle down, I become more and more certain that i, must, go. Give, serve, and share the light I live in daily. My Jesus makes the darkness tremble. Theres so much power in His name.
I feel like i’m entering in a new season of realizing how much confidence I have in what we are doing. The movement of the “Jesus Generation”. The certainty that I, along with all of my fellow racers- past, present, and future- are called to go farther. Be more intentional. Spend more time. Love a little harder and a little longer. Hold one extra kid. Go one more week without a proper shower.
All, for, the, kingdom.
We are chosen.
So racers, lets run this race with endurance.
For the next 9 months, lets put self aside and serve good. serve our new brothers and sisters-our new family. Bandage one more cut. Kiss one more boo-boo. Go one mile further.
For the people who will be put in our path. For the people who will come to live in the light of our sweet savior. For the savior who saved us all.
He is worth these 9 months and more because-
