Dear Milk,
You are one of my most treasured friends. You are one of a kind. You are funny. Sweet. Gentle. Bold. Strong. And Smart. You have such a bright future ahead of you. You can do absolutely anything you set your mind to. There is nothing that can stop you. I know I haven’t known you very long but I know that I’ll never forget you. And even though we might be far away- I can call you friend for the rest of my life. I have prayed for you and over you everyday since I met you. I knew you were special. I see Jesus all over you. So many of the qualities that make Jesus so great and so special, YOU have. He made you that way. Special. Different. Beautiful. He loves you. So much that it probably doesn’t make any sense. He loved you Milk. So much. That hundreds of years ago, He died a painful death by being nailed to a cross. And He did that for you. So that all the sins and mistakes you’ve ever made, or ever will make- don’t count. They don’t alter how He sees you or how deeply He loves you. He forgives you every single time. And nothing you can do will ever make Him love you less. He thinks you’re the most beautiful thing that there has ever been. He adores you. All of you. Even the messy parts. It doesn’t even matter if you choose Him. He will chose YOU every. single. time. And fight on your side every single time. He will always protect you. He only wants what is best for you. He is such a good father Milk. And such a good friend. A good comforter and the best secret keeper. He knew from the moment you were being made in your mother’s womb that you would grow up and decide to go to Maejo University. And study to be an english major. And that you would go to english club even though it’s not a requirement. And at the same exact time He knew that while I was still a baby in my mothers womb, He would give me a deep passion for people that live in far away places. And that at 18 I would leave my home and everything I know for 9 months and end up in Chaing Mai, Thailand for two months. And I would teach and english club class at Maejo University. And then there would be two girls from opposite sides of the world that would not only meet- but become friends forever. He gave me you as a gift. You love me so well. So intentionally. And I hope that in the short month that I have shown you lots of love. And that my love has looked and felt different than any other love you’ve ever felt. And that you would know with all your heart that it is love from Jesus. I know you aren’t completely sure of what this whole christian thing is yet. Or what it all means. But it is so good. Believe me. It’s better than anything you could ever imagine. I promise to pray for you everyday- That one day you choose Jesus. Wether it is tomorrow, 6 months from now, or years down the road. I know in my heart that Jesus has big plans for you. And that one day you’ll know the love that Jesus gives to you for free. He wants to give it all to you. All you have to say is yes. One word. It’s that simple. And all of it is yours. You are a daughter of the king. A daughter of the one who created the trees and the stars and everything in between. Isn’t that so special? You are special. To me and to Jesus. You have such a big place in my heart. I’m so blessed to get to call you friend. Not only here on earth but hopefully in heaven too. Just like we talked about.
Friends forever?
I love you. I love you. I seriously love you.
All my love,
Buwah (lotus flower)
