I am 20, and I live in Arlington, Texas.
I am a nursing major at the University of Texas at Arlington! Whoop Mavs!
If you’re up for it, below are seven random, quirky things about me!
- I love livestock. I was raised in a sheep barn. Rad note; when God calls us sheep in the Bible it is NOT a complement. Sheep are one of the few animals in the world who do not clean themselves. Not because they aren’t able to, but because they choose not to. As a shepherd of my lambs, I strive to provide them with the best. Typically, they turn up their nose to the best and choose to eat the dirt from the ground before they will eat the nutritional food I provide. Wowza. God, my shepherd, wants to give me the best, but often I like a lamb, turn up my nose and want to do what I think is best for me.
- Ooh man do I love Zumba. Dancing+hype music+workouts=me in my element.
- I adore my family and friends. What an amazing gift they are to me. And my schnauzer, Anson. He’s the bomb diggity.
- I love exploring and soaking in all God’s creation. Kayaks, bike rides, hammocks, the smell of rain, and spontaneous adventures are a few of my favorite ways to enjoy God’s gift of the world.
- I love reading, but lately the only reading time I have been permitted is for reading textbooks:) It hurts.
- I’m a Myers Briggs INFJ and Enneagram Type 9!
- Oh and I can’t forget sweet tea, Cheeze-Itz and the Bee Movie. These things make my life complete.
I decided my junior year of high school to recommit my life to Christ and make my faith my own. I grew up in a Christian household and spent my childhood knowing all the “right” answers. But I’m here to tell ya folks, head knowledge is not heart knowledge. So here I am. Yearning to learn who God is. Seeking an intimate relationship with Him. Praying for the wisdom and strength to trust Him with my whole self. I’d love for you to join me on this wild adventure. I am stoked.
