Hi! My name is Grace Horsefield, and I am from Cuba, Missouri. I have lived in the tiny town of Cuba for my entire life, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way! I have three sisters- Abby, Sophia, and Takyrah- who fill my life with lots of joy, laughter, and opportunities for patience! My parents, Pat and Jenny, are where I find my strength and peace, (and also the only ones who laugh at the memes I am always texting them!) I am constantly loved and encouraged by my high school sweetheart, Austin (who tries his best to save me from all of life’s dangers, including falling off trees while attempting to take cute pictures in the wilderness), and my best friends, Kaleigh and Levi. I am also very blessed to have both of my sets of grandparents involved in my life still.

I graduated from Cuba High School in May of 2018, where I was involved in FFA, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor’s Society, and even played a little bit of volleyball and golf! My time at CHS was filled with lots of love, some tears, and even more laughs shared over strawberry waffles! I am currently attending Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and am pursuing a degree in the science field. I’m not sure what exactly the future holds for me, but I sleep peacefully at night knowing God’s got it in control! At Truman, I am involved in The American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and am part of a kind, caring, goofy bunch of empowered women of Tau Lambda Sigma, a service sorority on campus. On any given day, I can be found chowing down on a blueberry muffin at the library, procrastinating my homework with my friends in the Student Union Building, or with my dorm room door open, recruiting anyone who passes by to finish the episode of whatever it is I’m watching, with me!

In my free time, I love to crochet, sew, or do anything crafty! I also enjoy watching sports (even though I rarely know what’s going on), playing cards with my grandparents, and curling up with my dog and the Harry Potter series to read it for the umpteenth time. I always have to have some kind of noise going on in the background, whether I’m studying, crafting, or just hanging out, so I listen to a lot of country, and worship music! Some of my favorite artists are Florida Georgia Line, Lauren Daigle, Dan + Shay, and Rascal Flatts! If I’m not listening to music, I’m probably getting distracted by an episode of The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, or Law and Order SVU.

When I’m at home, I attend church at Amazing Grace Community. I’ve grown up in this church from children’s ministry, to my days involved in the youth group, and worship band. I was very fortunate to go to the youth conference called Dare2Share where my interest in sharing my faith really began. I haven’t been on any far away mission trips yet, but I am praying and preparing my heart for the ministry my squad is about to preform in Nepal!
