Alright, here it is! The ‘what’s next’ question everybody loves to ask, I finally have an answer for you!

next fall I will be……….
Alumni Team leading!!
Alumni Team leading? What does that mean?
An alumni team leader is someone who has finished the race and leads a new team into the first three months of their race. I will still be with The World Race and Adventures in Missions working with the next year of Gap Year. I will have a team of 7 or 8 people to lead and help them transition into life on the race. I will be going through training camp again in July and launching in September!
I am beyond excited for this opportunity to step into discipling and sharing everything the Lord has graciously given me. I will get to take everything I’ve learned these past nine months and pass it on others as they begin their race journey.
This process has taught me a lot. The Lord walked me through a season of leading without a title on the race. It’s hard stepping into leadership and finding avenues when there’s not a ‘title’ on it. God has continued to show me my value and endless opportunities I have even when I don’t have a title. I had to learn how to be a really good follower, one that respects the leadership set in place above me. I’ve learned a lot by the people who’ve led me and am so thankful for each one of them and the way they led me into pursuing the Lord.
My alumni team leader was Corbyn and she is a big reason why I’m doing this. Corbyn led our team into the beginning of our race so we’ll and it made a huge impact on my life as well as my teammates. Getting to see the amazing impact Corbyn had on so many people has inspired and encouraged me to be that person for this next group. Without having an alumni team leader my whole experience would have been very different. I believe in the importance of this position because I’ve seen it done well and can speak to the impact it made.
I have no idea what to actually expect in this next season but the Lord is faithful in everything he does and I cannot wait to see everything he has in store!
