What is the good news??

k- “That God already won. That Jesus died and rose from the grave and he took all of our shame and everything from our sins away and we can still go to heaven if we give our lives to Christ. We get to live in freedom on earth because of that, not just up in eternity with the Lord. I think telling people the good news is that they get to live in freedom on earth AS WELL as eternally in heaven with God.”

Why do you share the gospel??

“It has changed my life for the better. I feel like freedom is really repetitive but it is freedom to live in the joy that Jesus gives. I share that because I want everyone else to live it that freedom that He provides.”

If you could give the people back home encouragement the importance to spread the good news at home what would you say to them?

“It’s so important that you know God and you read the Bible and that you’re continually in scripture and spending time with Him because if you’re not you’re living a mundane life of the world. It says in the Bible that you’re waste your God given life if you’re not telling everyone else what The Good News is essentially.

It is so good and has changed my life forever and so I want everyone at home to get to live that. They should want everyone at home to live it, not just the people here in all these countries that were going to visit. Everyone at home deserves to live in this worldly freedom and his spiritual freedom that God provides.

I’d say be bold.
Stop caring what other people think.
You are going to die someday, you’re either going to die or go to heaven so is your time in earth worth dying for??Or is it worth living for??

Was there ever a time you shared to good news and it didn’t pan out like you expected it would? What did you do about it afterwards?

In the squarer camps in South Africa we did evangelism almost every day of the week what was really hard was that they all believed in these other religions that are taught in African culture and so it was hard to see these people believe lies if the devil. They would be totally open to you sharing the gospel with them but it was really hard to have them say ‘ thanks for sharing that with me but I still don’t want to give my life to Jesus. I still don’t know’.

You can’t do much about it. You have to pray for them still, continually pray that someone will show up to them. Someone else, it may not be just you, you may be the person planting the seed. Pray that their eyes are opened to see Jesus show up to them as He does all the time.

But yea it’s hard.
When things don’t go your way or when you can only hope so much that these people are going to give their life to Christ and they say ‘actually no’ ,’ I still need to think about it’ or ‘I still want to party in college, I think I’m going to wait a bit’
It’s like ‘no what’s the point?! You’re living in this “joy and freedom right now and party but really it is nothing compared to what God gives.’

Sometimes in the squater camps you leave with 12 salvations. Other times you leave super disappointed you’re like ‘God, what was the point of that?’
When planting a seed you have to understand that maybe this is not the time for them. It is disappointing. It is king of confusing but you just have to understand that God’s plan is the perfect plan

For people at home how can they bring the good news everyday?

I know for me when I was at home and someone came up to me and said ‘can I tell you about Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior?’ I say ‘I’m good, no thanks, don’t have time for this’.

I really think evangelism in America looks a lot like evangelizing through your actions. Showing people Jesus a lot more than trying to shove it down people’s throats. A lot of it looks like showing it through your actions and then people will see Jesus in you and they will want that. They will ask you why you are so free they’ll ask you why you’re so joyful all the time. They WILL ask you about it, i know this because it has happened to me and and you say ‘it is JESUS’. They say ‘well how does that work??’ and theeen you go into explaining what Jesus has done in your life and what He can do for them.

Anything else you want to add??

There’s a statistic that I learned in South Africa that was like 2% of Christians have led someone to salvation.
That breaks my heart.
I feel like people in America, churches, are just so stagnate and complacent. I just want to encourage you to tap into the Holy Spirit And what the Lord really purposfully made you for  and what His intention for you life is because I know it wasn’t to become complacent and stagnate. It is to bring people into freedom and joy that God gives and that He created us for.

I want everyone to step away from the screens, step away from whatever is chaining you down from living in that freedom because it’s not worth it in the end.

Make sure you are listening and you’re paying attentions to what God is pressing on your heart to do because that gut feeling is not you, that is the the Holy Spirit. He may tell you to stop and pray for someone next to you that you don’t even know but that could change that persons life.

Listen very carefully to what God has in front of you. Step out of your complacency and into boldness.
