Hey friends!
My name is Gracemarie Crespo-Mercado, but you can just call me Grace. I’m from a small beach town on the east side of Oahu. I’ve been home schooled since the beginning of my junior year (grade 11) and this May I will be graduating high school from Liberty University. Freshman year I thought I had my life planned out already until the summer going into sophomore year I went to a church camp and became a born-again Christian. Since that radical life changing moment, my plans and aspirations also changed quite a bit. I had no plans of my own but rather depended on God to tell me what I was to do because I know His plans for me are greater than anything I could’ve ever imagined, and I was right. He has put on my heart to go on a long-term mission trip and here I am now.
I had previously gone on a 10 day mission trip with my school to Guatemala in March of 2016 with my mom and I just fell in love. Going to remote villages in the mountains and telling kids about Jesus and His love for them had set a fire in my soul. On this mission trip I will be going to 5 countries in 9 months, those countries being the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Botswana, South Africa and the Philippines. I am beyond exited to be a vessel for God to reclaim His children around the world.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, I am not a big writer but I will be posting blogs keeping you guys updated prior to launching on the trip as well as during the mission trip. I’m hoping you can follow me throughout this adventure.
Mahalo & may God bless you always -Grace 🙂
