Something the Lord has been teaching me recently is how to be grateful and find joy in things no matter how small or simple they are.
Here are a few things that have brought me joy over these past couple weeks, big & small & all the in-betweens :::
- Cool breezes
- Trials that lead to endurance which leads to strength
- Sunshine
- Lucy and maria
- Mountains on all sides
- My bed at casablanca
- The big blanket and pillow
- The way Mabe and Fabi care for us
- Alegria
- Different colors
- Cheap pants
- Laughing til I cry
- Worship with my hands raised
- Hearing the Fathers voice
- Dance parties
- Surprise chicken
- Reconciliation
- Love!
- Chocolate covered strawberries
- Egg and jam sandwiches
- Actual good coffee
- Knowing that i’m seen and loved
- Party bus lol
- Wisdom
- When other people smile
- A country where we can say the name of Jesus freely
- Green
- His glory
- Hope!
- Connections around the world
- Seeing things the Father spoke over me be fulfilled
- Unity in the body of Christ
- Revelation about who the He is and why He has me here
- When your favorite artists release new songs on the same day
- The whole sky turning pink at 6 pm
- Full conversations with people on the street despite the language barrier
- clean clothes
- tea!
- 6 avocados for $2
- a city that reminds me how small I am
- being at the center of the Father’s heart
- a deep longing and desire to get in the Word
- having more than one place that feels like home
- Moving knowledge of the Lord from my head to my heart, and walking it out
- the ability to create and honor the Creator
- people back home who care so much
- Monday night worship
- the fact that He’ll never stop growing me
- living in constant community (35 people in one house is one of the hardest things here but also the most stretching and fruitful)
- knowing that peace isn’t just being at-ease, it’s being full and complete in Christ
- being able to facetime people you love!
- Ecuadorian fruit
- slow and restful days
- serving no matter what I personally want to do && knowing that His will is infinitely above mine
Cultivating a mindset of thankfulness when you wake up every morning can truly help change your perspective on things and people in your life, and it can open and soften your heart and create space for the Lord to move in ways you’ve never expected.
There is so much to be grateful for & sometimes writing it all out shows just how faithful Jesus has been even in times where you struggle to see it!
