Hey Guys!
I’ve decided to do something a little scary and totally exciting…
I am putting school on hold for a year, selling nearly everything I own, squeezing the rest into a backpack, and leaving all my comforts behind to spend 11 months in 11 different countries around the globe.
I was recently accepted to be a part of the World Race—an 11-month mission trip for young adults to go out and serve the nations and our God. I will be giving up my traditional American way of living, and in exchange gaining a much greater understanding of this world, the Father, and His Kingdom.

SO WHY THE WORLD RACE?
I found out about the World Race about a year ago when I accidentally clicked on a link to the Adventure in Missions website. As I explored the site, I knew that God was asking me to step outside of my comfort zone, put my life in the States on hold for a while, and go on this mission trip. Mission work has always been a passion of mine, and God happened to place an opportunity for me to travel overseas to serve “the least of these” right in my lap. So I decided to trust in the plans that He has for my life and apply for the Race.

HOW CAN I HELP?
PRAYER, PRAYER, AND MORE PRAYER!!! As exciting as this journey is going to be, it will be challenging as well. Prayer is probably the biggest way you can support me through the entire preparation process, as well as while I’m on the field. Please pray that I will continually be stretched and grow in Him. Pray for strength as I am preparing mentally, physically, and spiritually for the Race. And please pray that my heart will be open to whatever the Holy Spirit leads me to do.
ENCOURAGEMENT!!! Guys, this is one of the largest and most difficult decisions that I have ever made. This entire journey will undoubtedly be challenging. Over the next two years, I will have good days and bad days. So PLEASE feel free to come to me with words of encouragement and wisdom. I’d love to talk to you and encourage you as well!
