- Communicating in a different language (also known as signs and wonders)
- Venmo
- Cooking on a limited budget
- Posting up in a coffee shop for hours
- Navigating world markets
- Snack shopping
- Bus rides
- Hurrying up and waiting, in other words every travel day ever
- Acclimating to any weather, and somehow managing to dress for it
- Being flexible (Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape)
- Telling people what you think, in a good way
- Making children cry (You’d probably cry to if you saw a white person for the first time)
- Entertaining children for hours on end
- Back pocket sermons (being able to speak, in public, at a moment’s notice)
- Bringing random kids home
- Being called muzungu (white person) over and over and oveerrrr again
- Bartering
- Walking EVERYWHERE
- Lack of hygiene
- Holding your pee
