I haven't shared with very many of you yet about a super exciting element of my World Race: we're filming a documentary.
Yeah, you read that right. You're gonna see me on TV. Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Netflix maybe.
I've been down in Gainesville, Georgia for the past few days doing Story Telling Training. And if it weren't for the incredible team at Gray Media, it might have been a pretty miserable week (think flood warnings and camping outside).
Trey Hill + Maureen Gray & the rest of the team have cast a vision that I cannot shake: media is the airforce of the Gosepl in this world, and through it we will reach the ends of the earth.
I've seen it with my own eyes, and I'm sure I will see it again.
Villages in Africa that don't even have running water will have a television that the people group will gather around every evening to watch programming.
Now dream with me: imagine a show that documents Christians. Not the preacher Christians or the hypocritical Christians but the broken, wounded, healing Christians who go out into the world to save and serve the least of these just as their Savior did. Can you picture it? I can. Cause it's gonna be me.
Over this next year, we have the privilege to document what God is doing in the world. In us, through us, and to the ones around us, God is moving and we get to capture it.
The team at Gray Media will be coming out on the field once a month to check in with us and capture what we're doing in each ministry. Throughout the year while the producers aren't around, we've been entrusted with some sweet gear (as pictured below) to capture the everyday stories of our contacts and the people of each country.
The task is great, but so is our God.
We are here now in Atlanta doing final training before we launch for Guatemala on Tuesday! Pray for safe travels and team unity as we step in to our first ministry.
Thanks as always for all the love & support!
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
Forever His,
Grace
