This year for spring break, I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Athens, Greece for a mission trip with my campus ministry, RUF. (Is it obvious yet that I’m passionate about missions?!) We had an amazing time ministering to university students in the mornings by meeting with them and sharing the Gospel, and then helped do physical labor in the afternoons rehabilitating a refugee center. It was an incredible trip spent with these incredible people:
On Thursday, we took a day trip to Corinth (as pictured above).
While we were walking around the ruins, I stopped to look at one of the maps when a family walked up and I noticed that they were speaking American English.
I asked them where they were from and they told me Minnesota – which is already so cool because I’m from Minnesota! But it gets better.
I then asked what they were doing in Greece – turns out, they’re long-term missionaries in Albania!
To which I said, “Well THAT’s really cool because next year, I’m GOING to Albania!!!”
It gets even better…
They asked me which missions organization I was partnering with and I told them the World Race…
To which they replied, “Well THAT’s really cool because we PARTNER with the World Race!!!”
Come on, Lord.
Really?!
Bumping into missionaries to Albania in Greece that also partner with the World Race?! His timing is perfect!
So we exchanged information, and while it’s not for sure that I will be working with this particular family next year, it’s still pretty awesome that I have a contact in that country not to mention people by name that I can be praying for!
Our God is a God of divine appointments. And I absolutely love it.
Forever His,
Grace
