Every 30 days we have to leave Swaziland. So when we left El Shaddai, we went to South Africa.
We stayed the weekend at a hostel called the Old Vic Traveller’s Inn. It was very nice and very relaxing. And it had wifi, so I enjoyed being able to communicate with some people back home.
One of the nights we were there I was just trying to chat with some of my squad mates, and then Jujeck (JJ) started talking to me. He takes people on safari. We ended up talking for a good while. And I asked if I could pray for him. He said yes and asked that I pray for his family. So I got my teammate Will, and we both prayed for him. Shortly after JJ went to bed.
Then I ended up talking to Charlotte who works there. I got to know her some. She showed me a picture of her young daughter. I cannot spell or pronounce her name, but I know it means “A Blessing from God.” Anyway while we were talking she mentioned her eyes were hurting. So later when I prayed for her I asked God to make her eyes stop hurting.
A little bit after I prayed, she asked if I was performing miracles. I was like “What?”. And she told me she asked, because she could see the lights better. It was after this that she found out I was on a mission trip.
I know it’s sounds pretty crazy. I was stunned. And it’s really perfect crazy, because earlier that day I was talking with someone about how I often feel the need to pray for someone or for a situation, but it’s difficult for me too. Then boom a few hours later God presents me with not one but two opportunities to step out and step up. Praise Jesus!
