FUNDRAISING.

Not ideal, but necessary. This past month for me has been stressful, to say the least. I’ve been “stress eating” (otherwise known as a diet that consists purely of chocolate, pizza, and mcdonalds), I’ve been breaking out, and having those adorable stress ridden emotional breakdowns and yelling at everyone. You ask yourself “Grace?! Why on earth are you acting like that? You’re going to be taken care of! Calm down!”

BECAUSE I AM NOT IN CONTROL OF HOW I GET THIS MONEY, THAT’S WHY.

I have always pridefully acclaimed to being someone who is not a team player because I simply despise having to rely on anyone else besides myself. I, myself, Grace Owens am perfectly capable of doing everything efficiently on my own. Fundraising is sadly something I couldn’t do on my own.

I think God has certain people who are completely okay with fundraising. Who know for sure God has it all and that He’s going to take care of them. With people like me, though, we have to take a step back and be okay with the fact that we can’t control what happens. We can’t stress. We can’t freak out, because what’s the point in that?

And then a few weeks go by, and crazy things happen. You run into people who you haven’t seen in 6 months who want to donate. You have someone buy 11 of your World Race shirts a week and a half before your sales deadline. You hear God tell you to go visit particular places, you argue with him, and then a day later the manager of that place invites you over. We are not called to have all the answers, we are called to obey and enjoy how big our God is.

P.S. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and been praying with me and encouraging me! God is fulfilling every promise and it is because of YOU and your willingness to listen to God that I’m here. Thank you so very much. I still have a little bit to go, but I’m starting to see how easily God makes things happen when we follow His call. I am amazed to say the least!
