It only took one week to change everything! I know that sounds cliche, but the one week that I spent in Gainesville, GA at WorldRace Training Camp I will remember for the rest of my life.
It’s the first time that I met H Squad-Joy Squad!
And here we are, don’t they just look great?
These are the people that I’ll be traveling around Asia with and doing life with for the next 11 months, and I can’t wait!!
Going into Training Camp I didn’t really know what to expect though, I’d heard stories and read blog posts, but it was a week that has to be experienced to be really understood, but I’ll do my best to give you a glimpse into what it was like!
I’m going to be honest here, training camp was hard. Yes, it was awesome but going deep with people who I’ve just met isn’t natural for me so there were difficult times of being vulnerable, times of being uncomfortable, times when all I wanted was a hot shower and bed, times when I had 47 chiggers bites that itched like crazy…but I think that kind of environment was necessary and made the Lord’s presence tangible that week and hearts were changed, molded, stretched, and transformed!!
Training camp was full of intense worship, tent sleeping, intentional prayer, bucket showers, inner healing, team building, foreign inspired meals, stargazing, and so so so much more!! The way everything came together made this week worth the wait!! Seeing how the Lord drew 45 people so close together and into His intimacy in just one week pumps me up for what the next 11 months have to potential to look like…only exponentially more!!
Prayers for my squad and me would be greatly appreciated! Prayers that in this month apart we would maintain the connection we’ve established and prayers starting now that our community would be intentional, deep, and above all constantly seeking the Lord!! Thanks much!!
And for your viewing pleasure, here are a just a few pics from the week:
