I’ve only been committed to the WorldRace for a little over three months and I’m already 43% funded, wow!! I met my first fundraising deadline on June 28th (25% funded) and I’ve almost reached the second one (50% funded) that will be on August 18th, PTL!! There’s more to come from this fundraising journey, so stay posted!! But alas this post is about something else…

So after you read the title of this post, you might have asked, “what’s in 3 days?”

Yep, it’s Wednesday! But it’s no ordinary Wednesday, it’s the first time that I get to meet some of the girls on my worldrace squad in Marietta, Ga. I’m so excited because they are a new part of my family and they’ll be my community for the next 11 months!! So I’m meeting them at a girl on my squad’s house in preparation for training camp, which is just under a week away.

So now you may be asking, “what’s training camp?”

Training camp is a week where my whole squad gets together in Gainesville, GA to play icebreakers, worship together, do team building activities, laugh, just get to know each other, and get more details about logistically what this journey is going to look like.  I don’t know much about training camp except that one of it’s goals is to stretch everyone out of their comfort zones.  For that reason, they don’t tell us much about it so that we can’t try and prepare for it.  So part of me is excited and another part of me is scared out of my mind!! So prayers for my upcoming week would be much appreciated, specifically for meeting my new teammates on Wednesday and for the ways I’m going to get stretched during training camp starting on Saturday!! Thanks for reading and below is a pic that gives just a little glimpse of what training camp will look like…so as you can see, I need all the prayers I can get!!
