…feeling like I was back in my freshman dorm (living with 25 other girls)
…a 5 minute walk from the nicest grocery store I have ever been to
…a 5 minute walk from a delicious and wonderful coffee shop
…having a hard time believing I was in Swaziland because of the above 2 points
…cuddling a sweet 2 year old with cerebral palsy that is about the size of a 3 or 4 month old
…long walks into the city
…almost busting my head open when I hit it on my bed (I'm on the bottom bunk)
…teaching preschool every morning to 18 sweet little ones (okay, not all of them are so sweet..)
…missing my boys from Mozambique 🙁
…visiting the children's ward at the hospital a few afternoons a week
…sharing lunches with some of my students
…ICE COLD (and I do mean ICE) showers
…taking baby wipe baths because of the above point, and having to use about 123 of them each time because of the crazy amount of dust/dirt I accumulated during the day
…holding a 3 month old that was the size of a preemie
…FINALLY eating a delicious avocado (couldn't find any in Moz!)
…almost causing a riot each morning while choosing which taxi van we were going to take to our preschool (they fought over us every day)
…having marriage proposals yelled at me as I catch a van to our preschool
…working in a classroom with Marie (one of my teammates and best friends)
…Marie's favorite little boy (Nkululeko) always giving a shout out to Tondo (my favorite little boy) when she is holding him and I am holding Tondo
…trying to learn names with clicks in them
…teacher/taxi driver strikes that had the police doing stops everywhere and forced us to go home from school early one day
…24 hours without water because the king was mad about the strikes (we think)
…wishing I could be of some comfort to my grandparents, who have lost 2 of their best friends in the past month
…wearing the same outfit every day of the week so that the kids can only ruin one
…my special friends (I refuse to call them favorites haha) bringing me treats, just because they wanted to
…hardly believing that I am more than halfway through this trip
…becoming FULLY FUNDED! (praise Jesus!)
…riding in a kombi (taxi van) with what I'm pretty sure was a witch doctor (he had on an animal loin cloth, lots of jewelry, and was carrying a wooden rod like the one Rafiki has in The Lion King)
…at debrief (this morning) having the first hot shower that I've had in 2 months
…really learning the meaning of this passage of Scripture: "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." -Galatians 6:9-10
…seeing Swazis more and more through the eyes of Christ
