We all have things in our lives that we cling to.

Insecurities.. Dreams.. Plans.. Control.. Sometimes flat-out lies from the enemy.

The other night in worship, one of my closest friends and squadmates, Rebekah Clark, felt the Lord tell her that there were things that we needed to let go of. Things we were clinging to that needed to be released. She quoted Hebrews 12:1-2, which says:

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses to the life of faith, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

And so we did. We made declarations of things we need to let go of. Here are some of mine:

-any desire that doesn't line up with His (can I get an AMEN?!)

-thinking that I know what's best for me more than He does

-my expectations

-trying to understand His ways

-my pride

-desire to control the future

-what I think my life should look like

-plans for my future

What are you clinging to? What is the Lord asking you to let go?
