Another Continent
Change

Merry Christmas!  Internet is scarce here, so I’m a few weeks behind posting stuff.  We
are now about 2 weeks into month 6 in Durban, South Africa.  So far it’s been incredible.  Our first week here we worked at Higher
Ground, a camp for adults with acquired brain injuries, in South Africa’s Land of 1,000 Hills.  This week we are blessed to have the week off
for Christmas and next week we start working at Horizon Farms for the week, and
then we finish off the month at another Higher Ground camp.

Here is a glimpse into our second continent change – 48 hours
of straight travel from Draganesti, RO to Durban, ZA, 3 countries, and 3
continents.

We left Draganesti, RO early Monday morning for the airport
in Bucharest and being on the WR we got there way too early and had to wait a
few hours before we could even check in.
We waited until it was time to check in, proceeded through security, and
eventually boarded our plane to Doha, Qatar.
We got to Qatar around 11 Monday night and we had about an 8 hour
layover there.  During our layover Qatar
Airlines put us all up in a 5 star hotel, paid for our visa to leave the
airport, paid for a bus to bring us to the hotel, and bought us all dinner and
breakfast.  Now I know why they are rated
number one in the world.  By the time we
got to the hotel and had to leave again for our early morning flight we only
had about 4 hours at the hotel, but it was worth it.  We got to Johannesburg Tuesday afternoon and
took a bus that night to Durban arriving early Wednesday morning, about 48
hours after we left Draganesti.
