Hello everyone!
My squad has safely arrived in Cambodia and today my team is headed to Kampong Thom, the halfway stop between the capital Phnom Penh and the temples of Angkor Wat in Siem Reap. We will have a month rationing electricty-about 2 hours a day–and most likely little to no internet. Here we go, adventure!
We also have a new team-we call ourselves Post Office. THe idea of being messengers of the truth, of hope, of love and grace, resounded deeply within us and so we know that we are messengers-postal workers if you will-and our team is the Post Office, where we all come back to be filled up and sent out again by the Post master general (the Holy Spirit). We even have a new name for feedback–Mail Call.
Mainly, what I know about Cambodia at this moment is its sad history, its present strive to develop and its future hopes.. some of them anyway. I also know it is HOT. (Pray for us!)
So please be praying for our new team–Cat, David, Leyna, Jonathan and Nicole, with Megan as our fearless leader! Pray for unity, openness, quick trust and love and grace to shadow and fill it all.
Pray for our ministry-we think we are teaching English and doing manual labor. It is hot, we will not have airconditioning-probably not even fans, so pray for supernatural coolness, or the spirit of endurance to make it through this month. Pray for fruitful friendships.
Pray for the rest of our squad scattered throughout Cambodia-it’s a short month, only about 3 weeks of ministry, so pray it goes deep quick and God uses us for his glory.
Thank you! Blessings & love,
Glenalyn

“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” Romans 8:18… THis verse has been on my heart the past week. Pray that that is the attitude we maintain this month-even if we are hot or hungry or facing difficult circumstances, pray that we view it all in light of eternity and God’s presence in our lives. Amen.
