Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image,
in our likeness”

As human beings, we are created in God’s own image. I am
not sure what that means exactly, except that we look like God, in some
respect. It kind of blows my mind.

But here’s the part that I really marvel at…is all mankind
created in God’s image? Even though we have different hair color, different
skin color, different eyes and noses and ears and body shapes and sizes,
somehow we are all still in the likeness of God?

God must be crazy cool to look at-like I cannot even wait
to see what God looks like, and to see my fellow humans through His eyes.

If we are all created in God’s image, and God’s likeness,
and yet we all look so different, what does that mean for how God will appear?

Utterly glorious, and incomprehensible to our finite human
minds. Moses glowed for days after seeing God’s back and it says the new heaven
and new earth will be lit simply by God’s glory.

If all the people I’ve met are so beautiful, how much more
beautiful will God be to look at?
