Hi everyone! My name is Gisele Marie. I was born in California, lived in the Philippines, raised in Queens and Long Island New York, and found myself here in Kissimmee, Florida. I consider myself a full on Floridian now! I grew up Catholic. And, I am grateful for my family who taught me of God and gave me a foundation in which God can build on. It wasn’t until I experienced Salvation that I was able to realize the gift of the blood of Jesus and all the grace He so freely gives. Salvation opened the door to having a real, intimate relationship with Him! I am excited and eager to grow more and more in love with Jesus each day! And, to share His love with the World!
I have a passion for animals! I volunteered and worked at veterinary clinics for much of my adult life. One day, God asked me to take a leap of faith and answer a call to work with children! I was obedient to this new path, and I don’t regret it one bit! I now work as an assistant teacher in Early Childhood Education. I also serve in the Kid’s ministry at my church and volunteer to minister to Foster girls. This new passion definitely took me outside of my comfort zone and has brought me so much joy and purpose.
Some other fun facts about me:
1) I understand Tagalog and can speak Taglish (a mix of Tagalog and English! Lol!)
2) I have not been back to my home country of the Philippines for 25 years.
3) I LOVE Donuts!! Preferably Blueberry Glazed or Chocolate Glazed.
4) My favorite color is purple.
5) I have two favorite animals, Beluga Whale and Panda Bear
6) I LOVE Fitness!
7) The World Race is my FIRST ever Mission Trip!
8) My favorite hobby is Reading!
9) I own an American Girl Doll, Samantha. There’s a story behind this doll. Maybe one day, I’ll share it in one of my blogs!
As I embark on this Mission Trip, I am eager and coming with an open heart!! I know God is working in every aspect of my life and the lives of others. I can’t wait to share this journey with you! God is good, all the time!! All the time, God is good!!
