Our days at the orphanage consist of a lot of playing, helping the preschoolers eat lunch, helping with English homework, and more playing.  I have been loving it!  Today I went with the Director of the House
of Dreams, Marisol and five of the children to watch them go horseback
riding. The three oldest girls go every
Thursday and the younger children rotate. The House of Dreams is able to do this because of a grant they
received. One of the benefits of it is
that horseback riding helps the children build confidence.  The older girls were so excited when we got
out of the taxi. One little boy was
gripping tight to my hand because he was afraid of the horses. Last time, Marisol said he got on the horse
but held someone’s hand. Today, he
didn’t want to even try to get on even though we all tried to encourage him.  Before we
left, both of us got cornered into a bush by two horses thinking we had
carrots.  Horses look really big when they are only a few inches from your face.  I had fun though, and it was great to hear Marisol´s heart and her dreams for the orphanage.    Below are a couple of pictures of the children horseback riding.
