When I introduce myself, it usually sounds something like this: “Hi, my name is Ginny, with a G. I am 27 years old and live in the Indianapolis area in Indiana, but I grew up in a small town in west-central Indiana.   My mom has been our family’s rock; she has always been a great support to my brother and I.  My brother, Curt is three years older and married to my sister-in-law Leslie.  They have a beautiful and sometimes ornery 22 month old girl, Olivia.  They are being incredibly generous right now and letting me live with them.  After living by myself for awhile it is nice to have people to talk to when you get home.  For the past 5 years I have been working as a Children’s Minister for children infants through 5th grade.  I call the church kids “my kids” and they, along with their families, have been such a gift to me.  They make me smile :).
Other things that make me smile:
– a walk in the woods
– playing with my niece
– girls weekends with my college friends
– the smell of campfire
– a good book
– a Jane Austen movie
– coffee
– turning up the music and dancing around the room
– a good laugh
– spending time with my family
The prayer for my life has always been that people would look at me and see something different and realize that the difference has nothing to do with me or what I can do, but that the difference is Jesus Christ. And that they can have a relationship with Jesus too.  I am so excited about what God is going to do on the World Race and I feel privileged and humbled to be a part of this team.
