If you’ve received an email or letter from me, most likely
it is signed “Blue skies and Blessings, Ginger.” So, why Blue Skies?

I grew up in the Sunshine State of Florida with sunny days and brilliant blue
skies. It is also a land of incredible thunderstorms. I love watching the storm clouds roll in over the pastures –
and I love when the clouds clear. Light makes me quite happy and blue is my
favorite color. Blue skies have become a symbol or rather a reminder of God’s
love – His perfect provision, His never-ceasing presence.

When I moved to New Zealand (where I knew no one and where four seasons blew in
during the course of one day), my eyes scouted for that patch of blue. He loves
me! He’s with me! Blue skies became even more special when I moved to State
College – a surprisingly cloudy valley in central Pennsylvania. I know God’s love and promises are
everlasting – much more permanent then a blue sky – but I just can’t help but
smile when I see blue in the sky – even if it is just a bit.

It is my hope, that you discover your own blue sky – however it is God speaks
to you and reminds you of His love & grace – your greatest hope – in your
day. May He bring you immense joy.

Blue skies and Blessings,

Ginger
