Here’s a more detailed experience of what had happened in Mozambique.

During our first trip out to the Bush, all that was there was a couple of cut down trees holding up a tarp and about 20 africans singing and praising God at the top of their lungs welcoming us to their church. For the next couple of days, we just hung out there preaching and peeling peanuts with the women, and we saw no other human life other them; however we did see plenty of the biggest bugs/spiders I have ever seen in my life!!! It was ridiculous! One of the spiders I saw could have ate my face!  Anyways, it was fun and the women taught me how to dance.   Yep, now I am officially African ;)!

Also while we were out there, we led a bible study once with the pastor and some of the church members, and we came to find out that they know nothing, absolutely nothing about the bible or about Jesus. All they knew was that there was a God named Jesus and that He required them to go around and to tell people about Him. So yeah, for over a year they have just been going out and telling people about Jesus and telling them to come to their church, and that’s it. Whats so weird is that they loved worshipping Him. Worshipping was all they ever did and thats all they knew how to do other than witnessing. Whats also crazy was that despite their lack of knowledge, you could tell their hearts were so much for Him.

So after that we learned they knew nothing about the bible, we had intense discipleship time with them because we only had one more day with them. We took them through the whole gospel and through some of the Old Testament.

Yep, so that was our first experience out in the bush.
