If you have not already heard the wonderful news. I am going to the WORLD RACE. 11 countries. 11 months. And since I have being bless with this opportunity to go. I've had many occasions to tell friends, family, and even strangers; about this journey I'll be embacking on 8 months from now. I also got to hear, a lot of I'm so excited for you to you are crazy. See, the ones that think I'm crazy; wonder why a young woman wants to leave her comfort, security, and drop everything to follow Christ. They said, most of those countries on my trip are sketchy, and not safe. But what they don't understand is that God is up to something in our generation. And I am invited to be part of his movement. Deep down to the core of my soul I believe in these veses. 2 Peter 3 8Dear friends, don't forget that for the Lord one day is the same as a thousand years, and a thousand years is the same as one day. 9The Lord isn't slow about keeping his promises, as some people think he is. In fact, God is patient, because he wants everyone to turn from sin and no one to be lost. Jesus is waiting so that more people will repent and turn to him. In addition, Romans 19 God shows his anger because some knowledge of him has been made clear to them. Yes, God has shown himself to them.20 There are things about him that people cannot see—his eternal power and all the things that make him God. But since the beginning of the world those things have been easy to understand by what God has made. So people have no excuse for the bad things they do.21 They knew God, but they did not give glory to God or thank him. Their thinking became useless. Their foolish minds were filled with darkness.
After all, why do we need missionaries if people can know about God through nature, the creation. The answer as my life application study Bible puts it: 1) Although people know that God exists, their wickedness blinds them to the truth. Missionaries sensitively expose their sin and point them to Christ. 2) Although people may believe there is a God, they refuse to commint themselves to him. Missionaries help persuade them by sharing God's Word and by pointing out the dangereous consequences of their actions. 3) Missionaries help the church obey the great commission of our Lord (Matthew 28:19-20). 4) Most important, although nature reveals God, people need to be told about Jesus and how, through him, they can have a personal relationship with God.
Knowing that God exists is not enough. People must learn that God is loving and that he sent his Son to demonstrate his love for us Rom 5:8. They must be shown how to accept God's forgiveness of their sins (Rom 10:14-15). Does anyone have an excuse for not believing in God? The Bible answers "NO". God has revealed what he is like in and through his creation. Every person, therefore, either accepts or rejects God. Again, in July 2012 I'll accompany fifty plus other believers. Who is commited like me to share Christ love. And teach many people how to accept Christ as their brother, and personal savior.
Matthew 28 18"I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth! 19Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, 20and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world."
The answer is yes of course, I will go. Because, the works of God will continue forward whether I join him or not. July 2012, I will go to 11 countries. 11 months.
