“DOLLARS???!!!”

My thoughts exactly. The World Race sounded like an amazing opportunity. Exactly what I had been praying for. It made so much sense, in the midst of otherwise very confusing life circumstances. Like it was tailor-made for what God wanted to bring me through and teach me in this season. (I didn’t know everything that this entailed, but it has been true, nonetheless). But when I saw the amount of money that was required, through fundraising, my heart sank. How on earth was I supposed to raise that much money?

While I didn’t truly understand how it was going to happen, I did truly believe that the Lord was leading me into this opportunity. So I applied. I was accepted. The process began with a $100 deposit… it felt like a tiny drop in a very, very large bucket. Then my friends came alongside me. My family. Coworkers and regulars at work. Church family. Strangers. Friends of family and friends of friends. Very soon, the drops became a puddle, then actually began to fill the bucket. People were giving sacrificially– $2 to $2000 at a time. I began to realize as I started this journey that these people were not just giving, but investing and partnering in and with me, my team, and my squad. Every place we’ve been, everything we’ve done has only been possible because of the kindness, obedience and sacrifice of others.

I am overwhelmed and overjoyed to announce that I AM NOW FULLY FUNDED!!!!! WHAT?!

This is not a small thing. I don’t take it lightly and I hope I never do. I say this, because I know that this is not the last time that God will use the amazing people he’s placed in my life to effect change in my heart, life and in the lives of those I come into contact with. YOU have ministered to hearts from all over the world. YOU have equipped churches and christ followers to share the hope that they have. YOU have helped make people aware of the need for the truth of the Gospel in the 10/40 window. YOU have brought the light of the word into homes where it the name of Jesus had never been uttered. YOU have been hands and feet that brought healing. YOU have cared for widows and orphans, clothed the naked and fed the hungry, because YOU have supported me in this mission. In this way of life.

I have the funds needed to complete this trip now, but that doesn’t mean that our partnership has ended. When you pray, mountains move. When you write, my heart moves. Haha 🙂 I want to share stories with you, pray for you and do this life with y’all by my side. God made us community for a reason. I want to steward it well!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for everything you are and everything you’re allowing God to do through you. I’m so glad we’re on this grand adventure together.

If you have signed up as a monthly supporter, please note that your donations will NOT automatically stop. You must cancel your payments through your Adventures in Missions account. Any amount given over my fundraising goal will automatically be transferred to the general AIM fund.

If it’s on your heart to continue giving, I still have squad mates who are still fundraising! Our deadline is approaching and I know they would appreciate your help! I will link a few of their blogs at the end of this one!

With all my love and gratitude,

Gina Marie
