Our last week in the jungle was absolutely amazing. I met even more amazing people and grew even deeper in several of the relationships that I had made with some of the women and children.

A majority of the week I spent my time teaching the children in the morning. We went through numbers 11 – 20, colors, and the spelling of some small words.
In the afternoons I spent my time playing with the kids by either chasing them, dancing with them, or swimming with them in the river.

Saturday morning, our final day of teaching in the jungle a group of women came before school started and wanted us to give them a Bible story. So while six of my teammates went to farm, me, Ryan, and our translator stayed and gave them a Bible story. We told them the story of Hanana and how when she asked for a child from God, God blessed her with this, and then we tied this into if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains. The women were extremely responsive, and had several questions for us, we ended up sitting with for two hours, just answering their questions and then praying over them

Our final day in the jungle we had our Sunday morning service, ate an a
mazing meal of noodles and tofu and then we were ready to leave around 2 o’clock. Unfortunately there was a delay with the tractor and we were not able to leave until around 9pm. So in the mean time we were invited over to someones house for a 2nd lunch and several of the neighbors joined in and brought over a variety of snacks and drinks. So we spent a large part of our afternoon visiting with and sharing a Bible story with a group of women. Near the end of our visit with them one of the women brought in four baskets that she had woven for us using banana leafs. Since she didn’t have enough for everyone some of the other women went into their homes and brought the rest of us some of their own personal baskets.

We then went back up to the church to see what was happening with the tractor, but there was still no news. So while a majority of my team sat around and rested I played with the kids. This mostly consisted of the kids screaming my name and then jumping on my back, at some moments I would have around 12 kids hanging off of me.

Then some of us plus the kids went to the river to take our final bath in the jungle. After this we spent the rest of our evening having a huge dance party in the church with all of the kids. I probably danced for 2 hours straight, at which time the tractor showed up and we had to leave the jungle.

Leaving the jungle was extremely sad, I fell so in love with all of the children and women. I really wish that I could of stayed their a lot longer, but unfortuntely I most move onto Thailand and start our new ministry for the month of november.
