About Me

semester at Central Christian College where I am studying Missions and Sociology. I absolutely love this small town and my tiny school with only 400 students. 

I also work full time as a CNA (certified nurse aide) at a nursing home, where I have been for the past four years. I love, love, love my job. Sure, there’s a lot of dirty work, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything I absolutely love all of my residents there. 

My parents are David and Marcia Beukelman and they are living in Topeka, KS. I have one older brother who is 26 and currently living in Washington D.C.

In the summer of 2008 I went to Kolkata, India for 9 weeks to volunteer with the Missionaries of Charity. I worked in Kalighat, the home of the dying and the destitute and in Shishu Bhavan, an orphanage where I worked with handicapped children.

 This past summer I lived in Denver, Colorado and was a part of a program called Denver Urban Semester. There were 11 of us girls who lived together and took classes together, 3 times a week we each went to our separate internships where we worked at. I worked at Ecumenical Refugee Services where I spent most of my time taking refugees on the bus to different appointments around the city.

In January I went with a group of students from my school to Israel where we took a three week course at Jerusalem University College studying the history and geography of the Bible. 

So now  here I am busy living and loving life in McPherson, Kansas
