Welcome to the Philippines, I have officially been here for 4 days at the time of writing this. Currently I am staying in Manila at K.I.M. (kids international ministries) along with the entire Q and R squad. This is our time of launch where we can take the time to reconnect with our teammates and prepare for the real adventure ahead.

We left L.A. as a team on Monday the 13th, completely skipped Tuesday and arrived in the Philippines at 10 o’clock on Wednesday morning. We all piled onto a charter bus and made our way to K.I.M. where we quickly unloaded our stuff, shoved lunch down our throats and rushed back onto the bus. We had no idea where we were going, all we knew was that we we’re probably going to get wet since we had be instructed to wear our swimwear. After about a 2 hour bus ride we arrived at a beautiful waterfall where we were free to go swimming until it was time to head back for dinner.

Today we had some free time so my team and I headed to the mall for some bonding time, and getting there was a great adventure. After walking to the end of the street we hopped on these tricycles, which is pretty much a motorcycle with a sidecar and rode to the main street. On the tricycles you can fit  6 people, 2 of us sat side-saddle on the back behind the driver and four in the sidecar. Then we hopped into a jeepney and rode it the rest of the way to the wall.

Tomorrow we are flying to Puerto Princesa, apparently one of the most beautiful beaches in the world where my team and I will begin our next ministry.
