Ok, we all know it.

I haven’t posted blog in 6 months. I’m sorry. Please forgive me.

I want to give you a brief overview of the amazing things God has been doing in my life on the Race so far. Ministry wise, I have worked in a day-care, a home for street boys, with victims of human trafficking and child pornography, in villages, doing construction, teaching English, conversational English and now working with India Christian Mission (ICM) in Covenant Worship School doing outreach in the slums of Hyderabad, India. It’s been an amazing almost 8 months. I can’t believe it. There have been so many nights where I’ve been left thinking, is this really my life?

Personally, God has been growing in me ways that I can’t even believe! God has been working through me in the ways of humility, confidence, identity, wisdom and intimacy. If you would like to hear more in-depth about the work God has been doing, please shoot me an email ([email protected]) or Facebook message. I’ll update you as soon as I can.

What I would really love to do is tell you the story of a man our team prayed for the other night. We went to the rooftop of a house nearby to have a worship session. On the dark, cool Indian night we were met with floor mats, a spotlight, so many beautiful Indian smiles and a great expectancy for God to show up and show off. We started with a worship song in Telugu declaring that God is our whole life and our whole life is His. The worship that night went straight from the rooftop into the heart of God. It was one of the most beautiful and pure times of worship I’ve ever experienced. The evening continued on with the songs, “Rejoice in the Lord” and “Set a Fire”, a testimony and word from the Bible. As we were closing I was praying and just thanking God for the incredible night. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

After the service as we were taking “brothers” pictures and “sisters” pictures and people had started dwindling, I noticed that some of my brothers were gathered around a man. My curiosity peaked and I joined them. Our new friend was sharing with us that a year ago a curse had been spoken over him and that every single night since then he has woken up at 3am due to something pressing on his chest trying to kill him. He asked that we would pray for him that God would remove this and restore him. So, we did. There were about 12 of us praying intensely on behalf of our new friend. We felt the presence of the Lord so think in that moment, and one of my brothers even spoke out and said that he heard God say that he was healed and that He wants the man to raise his hands into the air and say out loud that he believes God.

He got on his knees, raised his hands and face to the sky and started praising God loud. I wish I had the words to describe this moment to all of you, but I don’t. It was a night where God blew my mind. I was compelled to praise God along with him. Goodness, this is what God does.

He frees.

He redeems.

He loves.

He heals.

He shows off.

This is what Jesus died on the cross for. And because he rose from the grave, because Jesus conquered death, sin and Satan in that instant, he continues to do so today through the power of the Holy Spirit. And man, it’s amazing to be a part of.

I am so excited to continue to update you on the works of God in this world as you update me on the works of God in your life. He is so powerful and so good. And he wants you. Be willing to allow him to do the things in and through you that he wants to do. I can tell you that if it weren’t for all of the things God has done in my life, he wouldn’t be able to do what he’s doing through my life.

It’s amazing. Come along for the ride.
