I can't believe yet another month on the World Race has come and gone.

Africa has captured my heart with it's beautiful people and their hunger for the Lord. And they've got the beautiful landscape and weather to go right along with it.

Here are a few of my favorite firsts from the month:

  • Preached my first sermon
  • Taught my first class
  • Ate a live termite
  • Went running with 100+ Kenyan kids
  • Spoke at a funeral with 350+ strangers and prayed over the casket
  • Spoke at a high school graduation with 500 kids and danced in a mosh-pit of graduates
  • Rode a motorbike with 3 passengers through the Kenyan countryside (often carrying live chickens we received as a gift and bushels of bananas)
  • Got the old hymn "I'll fly away" to become a crowd favorite at a packed church service

Kenya will surely be a tough month to top.
